Photos on a Saturday..

You now know how I feel about Moro, and now I am providing further evidence of my infatuation. The puffy, doughy pillows pictured above are from Moro's basic flatbread recipe found in their second cookbook.

And if I may be permitted to show off a little bit, what you see below is organic lettuce grown by yours truly in my very own wee vegetable patch. I mean, come on, the rain is still clinging to the leaves. Does it get any better than that?

So... who's coming over for lunch?

me, me, me!!!! a vegetable patch in London?! where? I used to have an allotment in Ely (my favourite was fresh salad leaves, raw grated courgettes, spring onions and cucumber, ALL grown these little hands (and Jack's, a professional allotmenteer who had 'adopted' me, probably out of pity...). It was great, I made so many friends there, do you have an allotment too?

Alisa, you'll have to come back for a visit while the garden is still thriving, I'll even let you go and handpick your own if you want. The fun never ends at my place ;)

Tara, thank you, let's hope I can keep everything alive for the rest of the summer!

Ales, as a matter of fact there is an allotment right across the street from me, but we have our own garden. We live outside the city which affords us alot more space!

K&S, thank you, I was pretty proud of myself!

moro was always my favorite restaurant in london, and the cookbooks are remarkably accessible. i'd particularly recommend the recipes for fish soup, slow-cooked fennel and pilau w/dill and broad beans.

Zarah, ok! you can come! I'll even let you pick your own too ;)

Shira, the only one of the 3 that you mentioned that I still haven't tried is the fish soup-- I will give it a go, thanks for the tip!
