Not so extreme makeover
So I sat at my desk twirling my hair, staring at my little old blog and all I could think was: I'm bored.
And then I blew a bubble with my gum and popped it really loud to emphasize my boredom.
So bear with me while Oswego Tea tries on some new pants over the next few days.
Change is good.
Pop.

YOU are the best! So funny AND I like the new incarnation.
Chew, Smack, Pop, you are wearing pink lipstick, right?
thats funny - i too am sitting here pouring over blogger hacks and templates and dreaming of a change too.
If only it was that simple. I cant even get photoshop to work on my machine right now. blagh!
i like you in every style of pants. i also like those pics of macarons...
Good luck!
I commented on your last post instead :) BTW - what is the new middle picture?
looks great so far, can't wait to see what else you come up with.

What's up with this hair obsession? Is Oswego Tea a kind of hair rinse or something? Is it a Canadian thing? If so, does Celine Dion use it? Where can I get it in Paris?
Love the new look!!
It's much more fun to try on new shoes. Good luck and have fun!
Had this 'badly need a change' phase few months ago. Good luck:)
change is great - i have been thinking about a blog makeover as well! i did like the "it's all about food" slogan on your "old" blog though.....
I like your new pants (the cutlery in case it's just a casual trial and it changes again soon!)
Hello everyone! thanks for the show of support for my urge to renovate!
Alisa: pink lipstick--no way, totally doesnt work with my skin tone, but lots of shimmery gloss..
Sam: it definitely is a bit of a challenge with Blogger, its kind of like pulling teeth actually!
Cindy: aw, shucks. By the way, those macarons (not on the banner anymore) were from Laduree--the black one was their Poivre flavour.. blek.
Dianka: thanks!
Michelle: the middle picture, which is gone now, was a series of spices in cute little cans!
K&S: thanks ;)
David: Celine Dion is always copying my beauty secrets because she knows that Im a bigger star than her. As for my hair obsession, well as you know, I have lots of it.. A girl needs to focus to keep from losing control, you know?
Clare and Mochene: thanks!
Pille: Im surprised it took me this long.. I've been wanting to change it for a while now, but I just couldn't build up the energy to do it. Seems to happen in the life of every blogger though!
Kishko: thanks for saying you liked that old slogan. The only reason I changed it is because sometimes I rant about other things, and it didn't seem to fit anymore..
Flo: thanks ;)
Oh noo - I missed the Laduree macaron picture!? I had quite a few there last Friday (on rue Royale), but skipped the poivre one:)
i don't think I like the spoons and forks. much better to stick with the yummy pix of food. better to tempt the palate and stir the imagination :)
ooh la la! I like this pic! Show us more to choose from if you want us to vote! :-)
Ok Celine, uh, I mean Michèle (and btw, do I still have to use that augu? It's like 4 extra keystrokes.) The pic is better lighter, but you use a period after a single word, and a period should only be used after a sentance, with a verb and all that. Right.
If you want to take artistic license, go ahead, but don't do it on a blog.
(And if you're going to put cutlery in your pants before you try them on, you're going to be in for a very rude surprise, unless you're into that sort of thing, you Canadians.)
I really like the new look... :)
I like first one, and the one from yesterday. I'm not a big fan of the cutlery.
Good luck on deciding on your new look. I just added a third column to my template a while back. I really liked getting away from the standard 2.
Cheers!
Pille, glad to hear you made a trip to Laduree, I would love to hear what you thought. The poivre one was a bit too crazy for me, I cant say its a bad thing that you didnt try it ;)
Anonymous, good point. THe only reason I felt I could leave it out of the banner is that at the top of each post I usually have a picture of food, so I figured that would be enough temptation. At least I hope so ;)
Sandy, Im glad you like it! So far, I dont have any other ones. I might just stick with this one for a bit and see how it feels!
David, first of all its an accent grave, not aigu. Jeesh. And most definitely you have to use it otherwise I wont know who you are talking to. As for the periods, well perhaps Im just way more hip and cool than you are, cuz dude, you can totally.put.periods.anywhere.
Cutlery in my pants? Completely normal. Canadians do it all the time.
A novelist, thank you, Im glad to hear it!
Anonymous, thanks for letting me know. Im still debating, but I think I will stick with the cutlery for now and see if I cant get used to it ;)
CH, oh you are much more clever than I! I've been trying to figure out how to get another sidebar into that blogger code, but after a few failed attempts I gave up. I think that will definitely be a future change for the blog though..
Nice!
Paz
The comments are cracking me uP!!!
I really like the cutlery, and lightening it up a bit was a nice move.
And for that David guy: David. David. David.
I. Agree. This. Is. Some. Funny. Stuff! (And don't listen to David about punctuation - after all, he doesn't even know the difference between an accent grave and an aigu!) Your new look is great - I personally like both the cutlery and the last assortment of photos, so count my vote for either.
Paz, thanks!
Alisa, thanks for thumbs up on the cutlery, I like it too!
Melissa, thanks, Im happy to hear you like the cutlery too! Every day my mom keeps telling me to change it back to the old one, but Im still fighting it ;)
