Dear Santa

Chocolate Santa on rue Cler

Dear Santa Made of Chocolate,

I love you, even if you are sticking your tongue out at me, and your handlebar moustache isn't quite even. And yes, I love you even though I can't tell where your head ends and your body begins. But I like your pants, and your little beard. You kind of remind me of Humpty Dumpty. You know, before the accident.

But Santa, even if I did have the €295 I would need to take you home, I'm not sure I could bite into that big old adorable head of yours. So I'd be stuck with your chocolatey rotundness until you were nothing but a puddle on my kitchen counter.
At which point, your funeral might include a chocolate fondue party.

Love Michele

295 Euros, a bit expensive, although if he were made out of dark chocolate, I may have to re-consider... :)

You crack me up! I love that Santa...I think LB needs to become a sugar daddy so that I can buy all these expensively adoreable goodies! I would SO come to Paris for that fondue party!

Any fun Xmas plans in Paris? Or skiing somewhere in the Alps?
Joyeux (tot) Noel!

Hi Clare, yes, I think Santa is blowing a raspberry at you. Seems kind of rude, doesn't it?

Hi Zoubida, the price shocked me too.. I can't help but wonder if he is solid chocolate or hollow, and if he's hollow perhaps there is a bundle of toys hidden inside to account for the high price?

Hi Alisa, oh yes you do sound like that when you laugh-- I've heard you!

Hi K & S, I agree, the presence of all that white chocolate that makes up his face is a bit of a turnoff for me, Im not a big fan of white chocolate. Not that I could eat his cute old face anyway...

Hi Michelle, ok, next fondue party, you're invited for sure. And yes, get LB working on his sugardaddy status, the chocolate santa awaits!

Hi Mona, ooh, good idea.. Chocolate santa filled with diamonds. I really should have asked them if there is anything inside, Im curious now. As for Xmas, well being a Canadian girl I am happy to avoid snow for now, I've had my share, so no trips to the Alps. G and I are going to spend our xmas right here in the city, how can I possibly bear to leave yet? ;)

LOL... speak for yourself on that snow thing. I'd LOVE to have some snow. Sometimes it really sucks living in the tropics of Canada. All I get is grey and rain rain rain...
I can't believe that Santa is 295 euros. It better be bluddy good chocolate... Like good enough for a When Harry Met Sally scene. ;-)

If that was an edible French Fireman made of chocolate, you'd have snatched him up...even at 295 euros!

What a face! How could you NOT love him. I understand your conundrum though (aside from the price) - I can never understand those Santa shaped candles for sale at this time of year. There seems something inherently wrong with setting old St. Nick alight.

Hi Diningdica, there are tropics in Canada? ;) But its true, I am definitely past my snow-loving years. As for the Santa, well, I'm sure he's tasty, but maybe not that tasty!

Hi Zarah Maria, thanks!

Hi David, maybe I could put in a special order?

Hi Tara, oh, I'm not sure what's worse, burning the santa candle or eating the chocolate one. But I always had trouble with those chocolate Easter bunnies, especially when they had that big old candy eye that would stare back at you..

He is really cute indeed, Michele, if a wee bit too chubby for my liking:)

Hi Boo, he is a cute little fellow isnt he, and I bet he would definitely make for some great fondue!

Hi Reid, ha! I'd love to see the chocolate santa in his own glass case. He would certainly deserve it!

Hi Pille, well chubby in this case just means more chocolate, so its not necessarily a bad thing, right? ;)

Hi Paz, I'll say! ;)

Hi Pille, chubby is definitely better if it means more chocolate huh!

Hi Keiko, I will definitely have a look to see if the big fella found a home--I'll let you know!
