at least somebody in paris is scrubbing under his pits! i wish i could stand next to that bird on the metro every morning...
I agree with cindym, I have some smelly memories from when I lived in Paris...
Great pics!
love that!
that is incredibly cute, if a pigeon (flying rat) can be cute. i love it, and the pic is totally blog-worthy! isn't it fun to catch nature's treasuring moments?
Ha Ha Ha! CindyM made me laugh, and your pictures made me smile and think that maybe all the rain here isn't so bad. :) Thanks!
LOL! CindyM, that was funny! Yeah, as Mona has mentioned here in NYC, we call 'em "rats with wings" and I've never come across the pleasure of seeing a pigeon so concerned with hygiene. Love the pic, Michele!

Great shots Michele!
I actually miss pigeons. All the eagles eat any that stray up here.
Hi Everyone, well I'm happy my little pigeons provided some entertainment and it wasn't just me who thought it was a kodak moment, so to speak!
Cindy, as I've said many times, you are the funniest girl I know.
And Michelle, that's not from the rain, that's how Paris cleans the gutters every morning. They release the flowing water to wash away leaves and garbage back down into the sewers. And it seems the pigeons take full advantage!
And diningdica, where on earth do you live with all those eagles making for a pigeon-free environment?
Very sweet pics indeed, Michele!
Now I'm remembering a Dilbert strip where the troll from accounting tells him (while he's upside down and in chains iirc) that he'd gone over on his last travel budget, foodwise, even though he'd only eaten in fast food joints or something; apparently he was supposed to stun a pigeon and cook it on the hotel flatiron...
hiya michele,
I live in an isolated fishing village off the wild west coast of Canada. We're halfway between Alaska and Seattle
Hi Pille, thank you, Im glad you like them, this pigeon is certainly getting his due!
Hi Belledame, funny! Poor Dilbert, or rather poor pigeons? ;)
Hi Diningdica, very cool, its nice to 'meet' a fellow Canadian!
Cindy's comment made me LOL and these pixs are fantastic. I don't think I have ever seen a pigeon clean themselves before. It just shows that the pigeons in Msia are probably a dirty lot!
